Terms of Service

Welcome to Alula. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Alula mobile application and website (the "Service"), provided by UPPR ("we", "us", or "the Company"). By using Alula, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. ELIGIBILITY & ACCOUNTS

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your country) to use Alula. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

2. THE GLOBAL RELAY MECHANICS

Alula is a collaborative writing platform based on a "relay" system. By participating, you understand and agree to the following rules:

          The 48-Hour Slot: Once it is your turn to contribute
          to a story, you have exactly 48 hours to submit your sequence. If you
          fail to submit within this window, the Service will automatically skip
          your turn and pass the story to another author to ensure the
          continuity of the "flight."
        

You cannot edit a sequence once it has been submitted and passed to the next author.
Alula does not guarantee that every story you start or join will be completed.

3. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

3.1 Your Content

You own the original text you write on Alula. However, by submitting content, you grant Alula a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, and display that content in connection with the Service (including marketing and publishing the final collective stories).

3.2 - Collective Works

Each story is a Continuous Collective Work created by a succession of authors. You acknowledge that you hold rights only over your specific sequence and grant Alula the right to integrate it into the complete, evolving narrative. You may not commercialize the full collective story without express consent, as it represents the shared heritage of all contributing authors in the chain.

3.3 Alula Platform

The Alula name, logo, software, and "relay algorithm" are the exclusive property of UPPR. Any unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.

4. CODE OF CONDUCT

To keep the sky clean for all authors, you agree NOT to post content that:

Is defamatory, obscene, vulgar, or offensive. Note on Mature Content: While Alula permits artistic and "erotic" literature in designated categories, explicit pornography or non-consensual sexual content is strictly prohibited.
Promotes discrimination, bigotry, racism, hatred, harassment, or harm against any individual or group.
Infringes on a third party's intellectual property rights.
AI-Generated Content: Alula is a platform for human creativity. The systematic use of AI to generate sequences without disclosure may result in account suspension.

5. TERMINATION

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the Service. You may close your account at any time via our Account Closure Form.

5.1 Consequences of Account Closure

Closing your account is permanent and irreversible. Upon closure:

You will lose access to all Virtual Goods, including but not limited to In-App Purchases, feathers, premium features, and account progress.
Refund Policy: No refunds or credits will be issued for any unused Virtual Goods or remaining portions of subscriptions upon voluntary or involuntary account closure.
Your profile data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

ALULA IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. In no event shall Alula be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

7. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the country where the UPPR headquarters are located, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

8. CHANGES TO TERMS

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
